Covid-19 Policy

We're doing everything we can to keep Escape The Past 'Covid-Secure', so you can visit with confidence. Learn more about the measures we're taking, from enhanced cleaning to limiting the number of groups each day. Please note that we're closely following government guidance and will update this policy as necessary. Last Updated: 10th November 2020

Covid-19 Refund Policy

During the Coronavirus pandemic, if we are unable to fulfil your booking due to changing government guidance (for example new 'lockdown' rules), we will contact you to find a suitable future date, or if you prefer, issue you with a full refund. If you have purchased your booking by using a voucher, you will only have the option to re-schedule your booking. We may extend validity periods if necessary, for full details please refer to your voucher terms. We'll contact you in advance if we believe your booking is affected. If you have any concerns, please contact us.

Refusal of Entry

Please do not attend if you are self-isolating or if anyone in your group has any of the symptoms of Coronavirus or is awaiting the result of a test. Those arriving with symptoms will be asked to leave.

Enhanced Cleaning

We follow a comprehensive cleaning checklist to ensure all key contact surfaces are disinfected between every group that visits our escape room. This is to greatly reduce chance of any contact transmission. To enable this, we've doubled the amount of time usually left in between bookings.

Household Units

We ask that you ensure you only attend in social groups from a maximum of 2 households as permitted in line with current government advice for hospitality.

We will keep the details of your group's booking on file for 21 days for contact tracing purposes.

Facemasks & Social Distancing

We ask that all attendees wear face masks for the duration of their visit unless medically exempt.

We are strictly controlling the number of groups who can visit per day. This is to ensure that you do not meet another group on entry or departure and to allow us adequate time for enhanced cleaning in between groups. At present, we have only 1 escape room in operation so you will not come into contact with other visitors from outside your group.

You will be met by a single member of staff who will maintain a 2 metre social distance at all times.

Hand Sanitisation

We ask that you sanitise your hands on entry and exit with the sanitiser provided. Additional hand sanitiser is also available within the escape room itself, should you require it.
