FAQs for Corporate Team Events...
How many people can take part?
We can host corporate groups of up to 15 people across our two escape rooms; ‘The Anatomist’ & ‘The Deacon’s Cabinet’. We also have an outdoor escape room that’s suitable for up to 30 people! If you’d like to accommodate a larger team, please contact us to discuss options.
How long do your escape rooms last?
Our Escape Rooms take around 1 hour to complete, ideal for fitting in between work and a dinner reservation! Our Outdoor City Trails generally take 1.5–2 hours but can be extended with stops or other team building activities.
Can we book the entire venue for a private session?
Absolutely! You can book both of our escape rooms together, and even add on our outdoor City Trails if you wish. All our escape room bookings are private and we never combine groups.
Can you provide a VAT invoice?
Yes, by default you’ll receive an email confirmation when you book but we can follow up with a VAT invoice if required for your records. Just email info@escapethepast.co.uk. We accept a wide range of payment methods including most major company credit and debit cards.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept a wide range of payment methods including most major company credit and debit cards. Unfortunately we cannot accept payment by purchase order or bank transfer.
Can I pay a deposit or do I need to pay the total upfront?
Yes! While we require upfront payment to secure a booking, you can in effect pay a deposit by booking for a smaller number of people initially and then adding more at a later date. Perfect for when you’re unsure of the total number or attendees.
What if the number of people in my party changes?
We understand that plans can change and we allow additional team members to be added with no additional fees or charges - you simply pay the difference. Please contact us by email if you wish to add group members. While you can also remove group members, we are unable to offer refunds either in full or in part. What if I need to reschedule?
To reschedule your corporate booking we just require you to contact us with at least 48 hours notice. Unfortunately refunds are not possible. Please check our Terms & Conditions for full details
Do you offer Meeting Room Hire or Catering Facilities?
Our upstairs neighbors at Nicolson Square Venue offer a range of meeting room hire and catering options. Contact us to discuss your requirements and we’ll be happy to make an introduction.
Do we need any prior escape room experience?
Not at all! Our team are always on hand to put you at ease and guide you through the experience, offering as many hints as required. Most corporate groups visit us with team members who’ve never done an escape room before and they typically leave well and truly hooked!
